OCC has a great culture! We are continually looking for ways to recognize employees’ efforts. Several activities are held throughout the year for employees to take a break from work, relax and have fun

Employee Appreciation Days

Every year OCC holds “Employee Appreciation Days” for employees as a thank you for their hard work. Examples of activities held during Employee Appreciation Days: chair massages, manicures, professional golf instruction, shoe shines, make-up consultations, financial fitness consultations and entertainment. Special luncheons are provided along with mid-morning pick-me-ups like Jamba Juice smoothies. We also raffle prizes and give employees “thank you” gifts.

Push Up Contest

Employees participated or sponsored their co-workers in a Push-Up Contest. The winners of the contest raised more than $6,500 for charity.

Gingerbread House–Mania!

OCC held two Gingerbread House making contests - one in Dallas and one in Chicago. The Dallas winners theme/name of their house was “Cow Town” and in Chicago was the “Chicago Winter Wonderland.”

Tailgate Parties

When cross-company rivals met to battle it out -- Chicago Bears took on the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants faced off against the Washington Redskins, we held the ultimate tailgate party. Employees were invited to show support for their respective teams by wearing their favorite hats, jerseys and t-shirts. Employees were treated to a delectable spread of tailgate favorites including hot wings and fresh veggies with dip, while discussing the upcoming games. Many other sports celebrations have been held over the years.

OCC Beach Party

OCC employees were jammin’ at a totally tubular Beach Party which included tropical Jamba Juice treats, live music, raffle, and hoola hoop and limbo contests! Café Wayne was transformed into a beach haven, complete with sea shells and straw hats while parrots, palm trees and mini beach balls hovered from the ceiling. Refreshing Jamba Juice smoothies kept everyone cool and provided a summertime sweet treat. Employees proved “how low they could go” (or couldn’t go) during the limbo contest while other employees swiveled their way through the hoola hoop contest. The event kept an upbeat tempo thanks to the musical stylings of “Frankendread,” who performed beach-inspired tunes like “Three Little Birds (Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright),” “Red, Red Wine,” and “Hot, Hot, Hot.”

Dallas Move to Keller – Open House

After a successful move from our office in Dallas, Texas, to our new facility in Keller, Texas, OCC welcomed the Texas staff and their families to the new building at an Open House. There was an abundance of food, fun and music. Everyone enjoyed Texas BBQ, employees got to show their families the new office, and the kids had a blast with the children's activities.

Cultural Events

OCC holds several events throughout the year to recognize different cultures. Employees select the culture to be featured and also select the activities to give background on the culture. For the Asian Cultural Awareness event, various activities were held – presentation on the Chinese Financial Market, a Gu Zheng musical performance, mural depicting China’s cultural heritage and today’s progress, and a Chinese cultural luncheon. For Black History Month the theme was “African Americans in Cinema” – information was given on the history of African Americans on the big & little screens, African American Cinema writers, producers, directors and composers and African American Hip-Hop artists that appeared in movies and on television shows.
