Michael E. Cahill is President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Treasurer of OCC.
Mr. Cahill joined OCC in 1982 as a Risk Analyst, and subsequently managed OCC’s Risk Management, Treasury Operations, Application Development and Operations areas. Prior to his election as President and COO in 2002, Mr. Cahill was Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. He was a key contributor to OCC becoming the first clearing corporation to receive a ‘AAA’ rating in 1993 from Standard & Poors.
Mr. Cahill is a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Financial Markets Working Group, Economic Club of Chicago, Futures Industry Association - Operations Division, Unified Clearing and Securities Clearing Groups, the BSA LaSalle Street Dinner Dance Committee, the Amy Allen Scholarship Foundation, the DePaul University Finance Advisory Board, and the Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame Board of Trustees.
He received a M.B.A. in Finance from DePaul University, a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, and is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of Business.
