Duties:

Drive technical design and implementation for complex business and technical deliverables. Analyze end-to-end system solutions covering planning, design, testing, and implementation. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Identify and implement new uses of information technologies that assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives. Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient application programming solution. Develop and leverage automation tools to provide a quicker time to market for delivery of project solutions. Implement solutions to solve complex problems associated with computer equipment, capacity, limitations, and performance. Design, develop and unit test multi-threaded and reactive application using Java 8, Spring Boot REST services and AWS cloud. Design and deploy applications to Kubernetes cluster using Jenkins and Harness. Build highly scalable and highly available dockerized applications by migrating on-prem applications to AWS cloud using Kafka messaging, NoSQL databases and Apache Spark. Lead IT implementations from start to finish. Provide solutions and support for organizationally critical applications. Act as a technical resource to the development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. Work with management to create and update project plans throughout the development cycle. Provide timely resolution for production issues in conjunction with Production Support staff. Participate in code reviews and application transition to support team. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*

Education & Experience Required:

Master’s degree in computer science or related and two (2) years of experience in application development.  In lieu of a master's degree in computer science or related and 2 years of application development experience, will accept a bachelor's degree and five years of experience in the same fields.

Special Skills Required:

Must have work experience with each of the following:  1) Designing, development and unit testing of multi-threaded and reactive application using Java 8, Spring Boot REST services and AWS cloud; 2)  Designing and deploying applications to Kubernetes cluster using Jenkins and Harness or AWS Code Deploy/Code Pipeline; and 3) Building highly scalable and highly available dockerized applications by migrating on-prem applications to AWS cloud using Kafka messaging, NoSQL databases and Apache Spark.

Salary

$93,619.00 - $120,943.00
