Perform application design and development of big data application for business requirements in agreed architecture framework and Agile environment. Design highly performing, scalable, secure, reliable and cost optimized solutions. Design, develop, build and test applications using Java 8, AWS EMR and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). Build cloud deployments using infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform or Ansible and leverage CI/CD tools like TeamCity or Gitlab pipelines for deployments. Build Cloud-Native applications that leverage Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, and SQS) to meet business needs. Lead requirement analysis and review to identify missing or incomplete requirements. Identify assumptions made in models and validate those assumptions of the models. Thoroughly analyze requirements, develop, test, and document software quality to ensure proper implementation. Ensure security rules are upheld and external facing reporting is properly represented. Perform thorough code-reviews based on high engineering standards. Write unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks. Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements. Mentor developers and collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering and five (5) years of software development experience.
Special Skills Required:
