What You'll Do
Build and support API governance and delivery platform for internal and external client using APIGEE Edge. Work on delivering microservices across internal and external clients. Coordinate with teams/clients inside and outside to understand the api-proxy requirements and develop secure proxy, product, catalog, and onboarding process for the producer and consumers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
- Help and manage application environment and CI/CD.
- Primarily responsibility is application delivery following API driven micro-services and micro-applications architecture for given business requirements adhering agile SDLC.
- Analyzes requirements for api delivery mechanism and assist the client adoption to ensure proper implementation.
- Support Day to Day api/proxy issues and triage the root cause.
- Follows agreed upon SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet both explicit and implicit quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing reporting is properly represented.
- Assist on application and project risk analysis and recommendations.
- Communicates in a clear and concise manner all time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and management.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
- Java 8+ and working knowledge of DevOps tools. Eg Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm and CI/CD pipeline etc.
- Knowledge of Linux and environment management.
- Experience preferred with AWS foundational services like VPCs, Security groups, EC2, RDS, S3 ACLs, KMS, AWS CLI and IAM etc.
- Experience of API driven application delivery, preferably micro-service style of development
- Deep knowledge of RESTful standards and practices
- Ability to triage and assist system/environmental issues.
Nice to have:
- Experience with API governance platform using APIGEE or similar
- Experience with distributed message brokers Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis, etc.
- Experience with cloud technologies and migrations.
- Experience developing and delivering technical solutions using public cloud service providers like Amazon, Google, etc.
- Familiarity with monitoring related tools and frameworks like Splunk, Elastic-Search, Prometheus, AppDynamics
- Experience following Git workflows
- Intellectually curious and eager to learn.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, advanced degree prefered
- +5 plus years of experience
