What You'll Do
Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the Senior Associate, Total Rewards position is responsible for the administration, processes and controls of OCC’s benefit programs. This includes, but is not limited to, administering all Covid-19 initiatives, leave administration, health & wellness programs, and benefits communication activities. Assists in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of company-wide total wellbeing initiatives. Responsible for providing plan administration, participant communications, and customer service of the company’s benefit plans and provides counsel to employees relative to their coverage and options according to established policy.
This role will provide an increased level of employee support to the organization by achieving full understanding of all processes, programs and Workday activities to credibly respond to the employee. The Senior Associate will use their judgment to identify and solve, when possible, the root cause problems and escalate when necessary.

Benefits
Primary point of contact for employees related to all COVID-19 policies and procedures. Administers all COVID-19 related procedures and processes, including COVID-19 testing program, tracking exposures and cases, vaccination tracking and providing appropriate notifications as required by policy.
Develop, coordinate, manage and maintain total wellbeing programming to reduce health risk, medical costs, support DE&I initiatives and encourage healthy lifestyles. Implement wellbeing related activities, including annual wellness screenings, benefit fairs, flu shot program, lunch and learns, fitness classes, and other related activities.
Coordinate with benefit and wellness vendors and other HR associates to administer benefit plans, leave of absence and wellness programs.
Assist in drafting employee communications with respect to new benefits or wellbeing programming to provide continuing education.
Administer employee leaves of absences, including Worker’s Compensation. Advise employees and managers, regarding LOA processes. Calculate eligibility regarding absences, FMLA, STD/LTD, and ADA. Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure that notifications and tracking of leaves and disability are in compliance with State and Federal regulations, benefits deductions are in accordance with OCCs policies, and leave time is properly recorded and paid.
Coordinate with employees, managers, and outside parties to ensure policies, laws and processes are followed appropriately.
Responsible to maintain and update all documents and content on internal and vendor portals.
Develop processes and execute initiatives to improve intranet site content navigation that ensures users find information easily.

3-5 years’ experience in employee benefits, leave of absence and wellness administration
This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.
Experience with benefits and leave of absence administration and working with benefit vendors.
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills
Achievement-orientation; ability to multi-task, and manage shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, workers’ compensation, DOL and EEOC.
Ability to work independently and effectively handle sensitive and/or confidential matters.
Working knowledge of HR processes and procedures.
Teamwork and collaboration; capable of building strong working relationships.
Strong situational awareness, and ability to proactively identify business and HR teams needs and executive effectively.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS (Workday) applications.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
Five years of HR experience with a minimum of three years of related employee benefits, leave of absence and wellness administration experience.
