JJ Kinahan, a 30-year options industry veteran, has held several roles at TD Ameritrade, which was recently acquired by Charles Schwab. His experience at TD Ameritrade includes leading client education and launching the TD Ameritrade Network, overseeing the thinkorswim family of platforms including web and mobile, and handling the firm’s market structure and client advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill. Mr. Kinahan originally joined the thinkorswim Group in 2006, where he ran the education arm of the firm until it was acquired by TD Ameritrade in 2009.
Additionally, Mr. Kinahan serves in various capacities in the securities industry. He is a CBOE Advisory Board Member, MEMX Exchange Board member, ClearList Advisory Board Member and SIFMA Options Committee Vice Chairman. His licenses include the 3, 4, 7, 24 and 66.
Mr. Kinahan graduated from Aurora University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Finance.
Mr. Kinahan is a Member Director on OCC's Board of Directors and serves on the Governance and Nominating Committee.
