OCC believes in promoting from within the organization. We place a strong emphasis on career development and offers many opportunities through formal training programs, a mentor program and growth assignments/projects. Tuition Reimbursement

We support professional development through continuing education. Employees are eligible to participate in the tuition reimbursement program, and many employees have taken advantage of this great benefit and have received job-related Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Reimbursement covers tuition, books, and required fees.

Mentor Program

OCC has a formal mentor program that matches newer or junior employees with management mentors to promote leadership and professional development within OCC. Colleagues are matched based on the mentee's career goals, taking advantage of cross-departmental knowledge and skills.

Technical Training

Approximately two-thirds of our employees work in Information Technology (IT). Technical training is offered to OCC employees to keep current with our ever-changing technical environment.

Options Training through the Options Industry Council (OIC)

Options are a versatile and important risk management product for investors. OCC provides resources to help employees learn about options trading and the options industry in general. All OCC employees can take advantage of no cost educational programs offered by the Options Industry Council, which is supported by OCC and the listed options industry. To help understand this complex product, OIC conducts webinars and other events throughout the year, and maintains a robust Web site and Investor Services department focused on providing options education to market participants to support more responsible use of listed options. Foundation Training for New Hires

Joining a new company can be overwhelming for a new employee. To help new hires in this transition, OCC offers an opportunity to attend a "Meet the Departments" training program. This program provides an overview of OCC and its various departments. New hires learn the ins-and-outs of the company and meet department representatives, offering the opportunity to for new colleagues to network with seasoned employees.
