Becoming Part of a High-Performance Culture
OCC colleagues thrive in an atmosphere of intellectual curiosity, problem-solving creativity, healthy and effective interaction. We take pride in our collaborative workplace - a workplace that fosters respect for each other's views and perceptions in order to achieve better outcomes.
Providing a path for how we do business every day.
We're bound together by values and behaviors shaping the way we work internally and externally - from team projects to after hour company events to making a difference in our communities.
From Halloween fun in Dallas or a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field to participating in the annual J.P. Morgan 5k Corporate Challenge or playing on OCC's Optioneers Softball Team, we're serious about building teams and collaborating outside of the office, too.
As members of the Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth communities, OCC plays an important role supporting charitable activities where our colleagues live and work. Employees participate and contribute in a variety of ways: Volunteer Days, Employee Donation Match, Community Service Day, Charity Reception, and Fundraising.
Each year OCC's Employee Charitable Giving Program chooses three different organizations, one from each area of the country. OCC proudly matches employee contributions, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000 annually. The organizations for 2019 are:
Chicago - Teen Living Programs is now Ignite! Ignite lights the spark of opportunity - standing with youth who are experiencing homelessness on their journey to a home and a future with promise.
Ignite offers a comprehensive continuum of services to young people between the ages of 14 to 24 who are unstably housed or experiencing homelessness. Beyond meeting youths' immediate needs, our services provide youth with all the tools and support they need to succeed: stable housing; access to employment and education opportunities; primary and mental health care; lasting connections with caring adults, and the skills to live a healthy and independent life.
Dallas - Family Gateway provides stability and life-changing supportive services to children and families affected by homelessness. Family Gateway is a non-profit organization founded by Mayor Annette G. Strauss in 1986 as the county-wide point of entry for families with children experiencing or near homelessness. In 2018, more than 4,800 phone calls were fielded, pre-screening 3,400 callers for eligibility and urgent service need. More than 700 families were placed in Family Gateway shelters or partner shelters.
Washington, D.C. - Edu-Futuro empowers under-resourced Latino and other immigrant youth through education, leadership development and engagement of their immigrant families to become the next generation of successful professionals who transform their community.
OCC is committed to achieving a diverse workforce through application of its equal opportunity policy.
