 Dr. Kirstin WellsDr. Kirstin Wells is Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management at OCC. OCC is the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization and the foundation for secure markets.

Dr. Wells is responsible for third-party risk management, which encompasses the risks and interdependencies that OCC bears to and from its key stakeholders - clearing members, options exchanges, financial institutions, vendors and linked FMIs. Before joining OCC, Dr. Wells formerly held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Wachovia Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

Dr. Wells' expertise is in risk management and design of systemically-important payments systems; regulatory policy on derivatives clearing and settlement; and retail payments innovation. She received her PhD in Public Policy from UNC Charlotte.
