OCC Supports Charitable Organizations for Families at Risk

CHICAGO (July 26, 2017) - As part of its efforts to support the communities where its colleagues live and work, OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization, is pleased to provide financial support to its designated 2017 charitable organizations through OCC's offices in Chicago and Dallas.

The two organizations: Marillac St. Vincent Family Services (Chicago) and Metrocrest Services (Dallas) were selected by OCC colleagues as part of the company's overall charitable endeavors.

"OCC believes it has a responsibility to play an important role in the communities where our colleagues live and work," said Craig Donohue, OCC Executive Chairman and CEO. "We have an obligation as an organization to be good corporate citizens, and our values of stewardship and integrity should carry over from the financial markets to our employees' neighborhoods."

OCC's $12,500 contribution to Marillac St. Vincent will help provide refuge to families facing poverty, violence and homelessness.

"Our relationship with OCC is one we cherish – not only for the incredibly generous financial investment they have made in our kids, but their willingness to volunteer and get involved," said Tracie Frederick, Marillac St. Vincent's Director of Development. "People living in the circumstances of poverty are not looking for a hand out, but a hand up. Our ability to demonstrate that an organization like OCC is committed to their success is truly transformative. We truly feel that we have a partner in OCC, and are forever grateful for their commitment to those most in need throughout our city."
