OCC Named Best Clearing House by Markets Media for Second Consecutive Year

CHICAGO (April 29, 2019) – OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization, announced today that it was named Best Clearing House by Markets Media for the second consecutive year. The award was presented on April 25 in New York as part of the publication's 6th Annual Markets Choice Awards.

"This is a great honor, as it shows our industry peers continue to recognize the crucial role OCC plays in providing resiliency and stability to the financial markets," said John Davidson, OCC Chief Executive Officer. "I would like to thank Markets Media for this distinction. I would also like to thank my OCC colleagues, as their commitment to enabling a stable tomorrow is inspiring. This award is a tribute to their hard work to serve the users of our markets."

The Markets Choice Awards (MCA) encompass important sectors of institutional trading and technology within the financial markets. Specifically, the MCA focuses on buy-side traders, sell-side execution desks, exchanges and platforms, incumbent technology providers and emerging fintech firms. Winners are determined through editorial interviews with leaders in financial markets, consultation with the MCA Advisory Board, and online polling results of the shortlist nominees.
