Duties:
Develop solutions to complex technical challenges while coding, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and documenting the systems developed. Actively participate in the design of highly performing, scalable, secure, reliable and cost optimized distributed applications using Scala, Kafka and Elasticsearch. Design and develop next generation clearing system applications for business requirements in agreed architecture framework and Agile environment. Thoroughly analyze requirements, develop, test, and document software quality to ensure proper implementation. Deploy distributed application using AWS cloud technologies, including EC2, RDS and S3. Perform UI development using JavaScript, React JS and Vue JS. Monitor applications and create dashboards using Splunk. Follow SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules, and external facing reporting is properly represented. Perform thorough code reviews based on high engineering standards. Write unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks. Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements.*This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT or related plus five (5) years of experience as a software developer, software engineer, systems engineer, web developer, programmer analyst or related. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience, will accept a Master’s degree plus three years of experience in the same fields.
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Perform distributed application development using Scala, Kafka and Elasticsearch; 2) Deploy distributed application using AWS cloud technologies, including EC2, RDS and S3; 3) Perform UI development using JavaScript, React JS and Vue JS; 4) Monitor applications and create dashboards using Splunk.
Salary
$174,400-$243,100
