Duties:
Independently support full lifecycle of the Data Platform projects. Execute and test various data applications that support storing, transforming, and providing access to historical data. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of team. Work independently and assist in release planning. Validate ETL processes on multiple projects, sourcing data from data sources, including IBM DB2 and Amazon S3. Transform as per provided business rules or data mappings, and load into target databases/services, including DB2, Amazon S3, AWS EMR, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon RDS. Develop automation code to implement complex SQL queries using various technologies such as Python and UNIX Shell scripts. Validate data ingestion correctly consumed data from various Kafka topics. Validate data services API REST endpoints return correct data. Validate data platform reports for accuracy. Write and execute automated test suites against multiple projects in Agile environment. Develop and create automation frameworks to automate testing. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*
Education & Experience Required:
Master’s degree in CS or related and three (3) years of experience as a software developer, software engineer, ETL developer, senior associate – software engineering or related.
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Validate ETL processes on multiple projects, sourcing data from data sources, including IBM DB2 and Amazon S3; 2) Load processes into target databases and services, including DB2, Amazon S3, AWS EMR, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon RDS; and 3) Develop automation code to implement complex SQL queries using various technologies such as Python and UNIX Shell scripts.
Salary
$131,435 - $138,300
