Associate Principal, Software Engineering: DevOps
What You'll Do
As part of Renaissance Initiatives, OCC is currently engaged in building out a cutting edge clearing, settlement and risk systems. These systems will be natively running on public cloud and also on on-premises data center. To support migration of cloud based solution to on-premises data center, OCC will be building Kubernetes based virtual environment. The work will be divided across core platform engineering and DevOps teams. We are looking for a Full stack lead that will help drive and develop the necessary echo system (Jenkins based CI, CD, Helm charts, terraforms, ansible, monitoring, etc.) required to migrate public cloud native Risk Framework (there are over dozen different products within Risk Framework) to an on-prem production environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Full stack lead needs to possess proven track record of hands on work in developing / leading Cloud migration project(s) with solid experience (configuration & usage) in following technologies -
Kubernetes & Helm
Jenkins & Jenkins Pipelines
AWS (basic knowledge, Associate level)
Monitoring: Splunk, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, AppDynamics, SignalFX, Logic Monitor
Projects: Major cloud migration
This person should be conversant with various cloud (specifically AWS) technologies to help us in developing equivalent services using cloud neutral vendor products.
Should have proven experience in running project with few DevOps engineers & Developers.
Actively participates and leads requirement analysis and reviews to identify missing or incomplete requirements.
Follows agreed upon SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet both explicit and implicit quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing reporting is properly represented.
Assists Production Support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as required
Communicates in a clear and concise manner all time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and management
Assist with departmental and new employee training

10+ years of combined experience in relevant areas. A person with developer background, with some project management experience around cloud migrations working with DevOps engineers would be an ideal candidate.
Good understanding of Java language is preferred.
Experience tweaking the code Or similar full stack project experience required
Experience with Kafka & Kubernetes is preferred.
Experience with AWS cloud and migrations. Experience preferred with AWS foundational services like VPCs, Security groups, EC2, RDS, S3 ACLs, KMS, AWS CLI and IAM etc.
Very good knowledge of DevOps tools. Eg Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Nexus/Artifactory and CI/CD pipeline etc.
Education and/or Experience:
BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field or equivalent experience
Certificates or Licenses:
OCP Java SE 8 Programmer Certification is a plus
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate to Senior level is plus
