Duties:
Design, implement, maintain and continuously automate a large, complex cloud-based computing environment. Design and develop solutions to automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform. Create CI and CD for application and database deployments using Jenkins. Architect monolithic applications to microservices using Kubernetes. Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems. Develop and maintain a library of deployable, tested, and documented automation design scripts, processes, and procedures for deploying services to the cloud. Enable DevOps development activities and complex development tasks that will involve working with tools such as Docker, Kafka and container management systems. Participate in cloud computing environment build-outs, software installation, maintenance and support, including but not limited to, patches, fixes, end-of-life preparation, and upgrades. Serve as cloud architect principal by providing technical guidance to other team members for the design, implementation and support of new cloud platform architecture and automation technologies, as well as updates and maintenance of existing cloud and automation systems. Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in CS, computer engineering or related and seven (7) years of experience as a DevOps engineer, engineer, consultant, technical lead or related.
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Designing and developing solutions to automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform; 2) Creating CI and CD for application and database deployments using Jenkins; and 3) Architecting applications to microservices using Kubernetes.
Salary
$190,100-$208,000
