Principal, Software Engineering: UI/UX
Summary:
The OCC UX team is looking for a talented and pro-active UX Program manager, to lead the team through project scoping and road-mapping activities, to plan work with stakeholders and product teams, to report up and out status of delivery. As a UX Program Manager (UX Programs & Operations), you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the design of products.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
- Connect with Stakeholders to determine their needs from the team and possible/future engagements, and work with UX Director to prioritize and assign phases/tasks to the team
- Participate in the delivery of projects and deliver user stories, surveys, and value propositions by representing the UX Team to IT and business counterparts
- Be responsible for business interactions, relationship management, demand consolidation and prioritization
- Lead and collaborate with UX team leadership in key project decision-making and orchestrate successful delivery for multiple UX-related projects simultaneously.
- Manage UX demand and collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize demand based on continual assessment of business objectives
- Engage in conducting purposeful and efficient meetings, project planning, client communication, and retrospectives
- Build relationships with varied stakeholders
- Support project teams in development of coherent and holistic User Experience solutions
- Conduct discovery on programs being reviewed - interview or survey program teams to assess key issues, e.g. business alignment, project planning, program governance, technology dimensions, etc
- Analyze findings from discovery and refine / verify problem statements, document and prioritize risks and identify root causes of key issues
- Work with the program team to define appropriate remediation actions, clarify ownership for them, and criteria for resolution
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to UI Devs.
Mentor on standards and best practices for the DEV/Architecture community at OCC.

- Project Planning: works with stakeholders, product owners, and UX teams to plan the projects: roadmaps (milestones and deliverables), resourcing needs, risks / issues, RASCI, etc
- Driving delivery through status and progress reporting, driving resolution of risks and issues, etc
- User-facing web/SaaS product experience
- Experience with UX process, strategy and deliverables
- Experience with risk management and problem solving
- Experience influencing management decision making through analytical and communication skills
- Experience preparing concise and compelling written summaries of complex business or technical issues, with clearly defined recommendations
- Experience tying together solutions across systems
- Knowledge of product-specific application architecture
- Experience working with agile teams using scrum framework
- Experience in leadership and driving transformational efforts across large-scale organizations
Technical Skills:
- User-facing web/SaaS product experience
- Experience with UX process, strategy and deliverables
Education and/or Experience:
Experience in leadership and driving transformational efforts across large-scale organizations
