Summary

The Senior Associate, Security Business Operations will work with various Security Services team members and Management and is responsible for creating business requirements, liaise between business and technical personnel to ensure a mutual understanding of processes and applications and ultimately developing a business architecture for the Security Automation efforts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct status discussions with Product Owners, create user stories, communicate with cross-functional teams, and develop clear business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure a clear understanding of requirements.
  • Perform BAU activities and suggest process improvements in the current SDLC process.
  • Establish a streamlined requirements intake process.
  • Assist Security process owners to automate manual processes, including identifying needs, building requirements, developing a project plan, and managing execution of the plan.
  • Implement dashboard/reports to help leadership make informed business decisions.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical skills to successfully analyze and communicate complex problem and solutions.
  • Organized, curious, persistent, and service-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with local and remote OCC staff, management, and consultants while exercising sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Agile/Scrum Methodologies
  • Expertise in requirements gathering and prioritization.
  • Understanding and experience in completing an SDLC.
  • Experience in Jira (creating stories/epics, grooming, labeling, story points, sprint reviews, board management, etc.)
  • Project Management experience
  • Possesses critical IT values (i.e., fact based, collaborative, credibility/trust and judgment
  • Good consultative, communication, team player and analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with short timelines and work well under pressure.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree - Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics or related field or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • 3 or more years hands-on Information Security and/or Business Analyst related work experience.

Certificates or Licenses:

Professional network and/or security certifications a plus (i.e., GIAC, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC)
