Duties:
Design and develop scalable resilient hybrid Cloud-based solutions to support critical financial risk management activities and market data. Design and develop highly distributed risk or credit risk related applications using Java multithreading and concurrency, distributed cloud computing AWS and Kubernetes, distributed streaming framework Apache Flink and messaging broker Kafka or Active MQ. Design and build user interface for the risk or credit risk applications using Ext JS or React, HTML and CSS. Design and execute performance testing to determine the stability and scalability of applications using AppDynamics and JMeter. Create, configure and optimize RDBMS for large financial data sets, including writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures. Design and develop big data applications for business requirements in agreed architecture framework and Agile environment. Ensure security rules are upheld and external facing reporting is properly represented. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in CS or related and five (5) years of software engineering experience. In lieu of a bachelor's degree in CS or related and 5 years of software engineering experience, a master's degree and two years of experience in the same fields will be accepted.
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Designing and developing highly distributed risk or credit risk related applications using Java multithreading and concurrency, distributed cloud computing AWS and Kubernetes, distributed streaming framework Apache Flink and messaging broker Kafka or Active MQ; 2) Designing and building user interface for the risk or credit risk applications using Ext JS or React, HTML and CSS; 3) Creating, configuring and optimizing RDBMS for large financial data sets, including writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures; and 4) Designing and executing performance testing to determine the stability and scalability of applications using AppDynamics and JMeter.
Salary
$128,315-$133,900
