Janet Angstadt

Janet Angstadt is Chief Legal Officer at OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization.
As a member of OCC's Management Committee, Ms. Angstadt is responsible for the strategic direction of the company's Legal, Corporate Governance and Regulatory functions. In addition, the company’s Compliance and Internal Audit departments administratively report to her. She joined OCC in June 2019.
Prior to joining OCC, Ms. Angstadt was a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman for 12 years and Co-Head of the Chicago Financial Services Practice. While at Katten, she counseled broker-dealers and market centers on a wide variety of securities law and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Katten, Ms. Angstadt was Deputy General Counsel at Archipelago Holdings, Inc. and became General Counsel of NYSE Arca, Inc. after the company was acquired by the NYSE Group. Ms. Angstadt was also a Senior Vice President at EVEREN Securities and an associate at Schiff Hardin & Waite. Ms. Angstadt began her career in the Division of Trading and Markets at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Angstadt is a graduate of St. Olaf College and received her law degree from DePaul University.
