Maria Chiodi
Managing Director, Head of Group Functions Legal Americas at UBS
Maria Chiodi is a Managing Director, Head of Group Functions Legal Americas at UBS based in New York. Prior roles at Credit Suisse include the General Counsel of the CS IHC, broker dealer and OTC derivatives dealer entities, and head of the cleared derivatives legal team.
Ms. Chiodi is a member of the Futures Industry Association Law & Compliance Division (“FIA L&C”) Executive Committee. She served as President of FIA L&C from 2010-14 and led industry initiatives to implement the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act cleared swap requirements, including developing industry agreement templates and co-chairing the FIA L&C/ISDA netting opinion committee for cleared swap agreements. She is also a member of the New York City Bar Association Futures & Derivatives Regulation Committee.
Ms. Chiodi holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from New York University, as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University.
Ms. Chiodi is the Member Vice Chairman on OCC's Board of Directors and serves on the Audit Committee and the Compensation and Performance Committee.
